Week 16 Monday Games: Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animals!

Monday, Christmas Day

Pittsburgh (11-3) -9.5 @ HOUSTON (4-10) +9.5

JaDaveon Clowney called Blake Bortles “trash” after the Jaguars blew out the Texans last week. Jags fans responded passive aggressively with a twitter campaign encouraging fans to send Clowney trash through Amazon Prime. Lame. In turn, Clowney filled all the trash cans with toys, clothes and other items and donated them to women’s and children’s charities in Houston. Clowney for the win.

Houston has nothing to play for in this game since they’ll be sending their 2018 first round pick to Cleveland. Pittsburgh needs to win both remaining games to secure a bye. That bye is super important as it will give Antonio Brown another week off to heal his torn calf.

JuJu Smith-Schuster has become my favorite player in the league and he should have a huge game this week.

PICK: Pittsburgh -9.5

PHILADELPHIA (12-2) -9.5 @ Oakland (6-8) +9.5

Only fitting that the team known for booing Santa Claus gets to play on Christmas Day.

As previously discussed, it’s likely that Oakland has already been knocked out of the playoffs by the time Santa takes flight on Christmas Eve. The Raiders will have zero motivation to play this game on Christmas night almost 3,000 miles from home and Philly needs the win to secure home field advantage.

Nothing pains me more than picking Philly, but its Christmas.
