Week 16 Saturday Games: Pretty, Pretty Good!

Minnesota (11-3)  -2.5  at GREEN BAY (7-7)

This line was set when Rodgers was expected to play. Green Bay is currently getting 9. 6.5 point move.

Did anybody watch Aaron Rodgers last week? 26-45 with 3TDs and 3 INTs. He was pretty good but not great. Know who else is pretty good but not great? Brett Hundley. Pretty, pretty good!

Also …. 12 degrees at kickoff. That’s a Green Bay kind of game. It’s actually warm for this week. Tuesday the high will be -3.

The Pack won't make the playoffs, not with the 3-headed monster in the NFC South about to finish 11-5, and there’s no reason for Minnesota to put this game away. They’ll get a bye if they win one of their last 2 games or Carolina loses one (I think). They need to win this game to keep a theoretical shot of home-field alive, but as discussed last week, we are dying for the Eagles to make the playoffs at 14-2.

It’s too obvious to take Minnesota here, because the line is now 6.5 higher. But we like the short home dog, and are pretty sure Brett Hundley has a future in the league. We taking the points and thinking about the moneyline (+325).

Pick: Packers +2.5

Bonus Pick: I’m going to feel really stupid when it’s 31-3 Vikings at halftime

BALTIMORE (8-6)  -13.5  vs Indianapolis (3-11)

Normally we’d be looking at this game for a potential back door cover. But then we remembered it was Jacoby Brissett out there vs a rejuvenated Joe Flacco. Brissett has been improving, but he’s been sacked 49 times this year. Flacco got the shit kicked out of him for the first 9 weeks of the season, but is 4-1 after their week 10 bye, with the only loss the 1-point ridiculous game vs Pittsburgh.

The Ravens likely have to win out to make the playoffs, so there’s this game and next week vs Cincy, also at home. John Harbaugh is a Harbaugh, so running up the score isn't out of the question. You know, just in case the league goes to goal differential as a tiebreaker.

The Colts are 31st in the league in offense, and 30th in defense. Or the other way around. Either way. In a 32-team league that includes the Browns and the Giants ….. it’s pretty bad.

Pick: Ravens -13.5
