Week 15 Late Games: Jimmy G counted to infinity. Twice.

Sunday Late Games

SEATTLE (8-5) -1.5 vs. LA Rams (9-4)

I almost got swept up in this whole Seattle is go good in December thing. In past seasons, betting Seattle in December has been a sure thing, especially at home. But this year is different. As we all saw at the end of the Jacksonville game, this team is undisciplined and childish. Breaking a victory formation and diving at an O-lineman’s legs is bush league. Bennett should have been suspended. Same with the guy who tried to climb into the crowd. This team leads the league in penalties with 120 penalties against for 1040 yards. That’s almost 10 per game and it’s 15 more than the 2nd most penalized team. There is definitely a discipline problem in Seattle and an injury problem too. Seattle may be without two starting linebackers adding to an already decimated secondary.

Russell Wilson can run around like Billy in a Family Circle comic all he wants. He’ll make some crazy ridiculous plays that will keep Seattle in the game. But he can’t play defense and that’ll be Seattle problem this Sunday. With a win, the Rams all but lock up the NFC West and we think they’ll do just that.

PICK: LA Rams +1.5

SAN FRANCISCO (3-10) -1.5 vs. Tennessee (8-5)

Tennessee is the worst 8-5 team in the history of the NFL. They have only covered 3 games ATS this year – two of which came on long Derek Henry TD runs as the Titans were running out the clock. The other was a 4-point win against the Colts as a 3.5-point favorite. Not too impressive.

The 49ers have won 3 of their last 4 games. Since Jimmy G took over as starting QB, the team has won two straight. In fact, Jimmy G has never lost a game as a starting QB in his career. Also, when Chuck Norris has questions about life, he calls Jimmy G.

New England (10-3) -2.5 @ PITTSBURGH (11-2)

New England looked terrible in a loss to Miami last week. For some reason, Brady struggles in Miami posting a career record of 7-9. But the good news for Pats fans is Brady is 6-2 ATS after losing to the Dolphins and 37-16 ATS off a loss. I think Belichick knew this and tanked the Miami game. It was a meaningless game for the Pats so they played tentatively to avoid injuries and not show anything to the Steelers. They’ll come out firing in this preview of a potential AFC Championship match-up. I also think Belichick was somehow involved in the JFK assassination as well as Trump winning the election in 2016. But those are conspiracies we can discuss another time.

PICK: New England -2.5

Sunday Night Game

Dallas (7-6) -3.5 @ OAKLAND (6-7)

Oakland has been terrible on both sides of the ball and that should continue this week. Derek Carr is averaging 7 yards per pass attempt and has a QBR of 52. Now I have no idea what QBR is or means, but I know that 52 is not a good one.

Dak Prescott continues to impress. He should have no trouble moving the ball against Oakland's terrible secondary. Dallas is on the fringe of the playoffs and needs to win out. They should be extra motivated to win this game because they get Zeke Elliott back in week 16. He'll be rested and angry coming off a 6 game suspension. Watch out ladies.

PICK: Dallas -3.5

Monday Night Game

Atlanta (8-5) -6.5 @ TAMPA BAY (4-9)

Atlanta has the tie-break over Seattle for the last playoff spot. With Dallas and Green Bay lurking, the Falcons need this win big time. Tampa has nothing to play for expect spoiling the playoff hopes of their NFC South foes. After playing Atlanta this week, Tampa finishes with Carolina and New Orleans. While they could cause some ripples in the playoff waters with upset wins in any of these games, it's not gonna happen. This game will be close until Jameis Winston throws a late game pick six giving Atlanta the win and the cover. Expect a huge game from Julio Jones and DeVonta Freeman. They will need to make up for some key Matt Ryan mistakes.

PICK: Atlanta -6.5
